High Impact Towing is a proud, third-generation family-owned business rooted in a legacy of hard work and dedication. Founded in 2005 by a father-son duo, our company has grown from humble beginnings to become the leading towing service in Hammond, IN, and the surrounding areas, including Whiting, Dyer, Griffith, East Chicago, and Gary. As we approach our 20th anniversary in 2025, we reflect on our journey with gratitude and pride.

Our story began with my father, who previously ran a grocery store. After years of experience in retail, he transitioned to the towing industry, initially focusing on repossessions. However, the financial challenges of that model led him to pivot toward roadside assistance and, eventually, towing. In a moment of determination, I urged my father to give me a chance to lead the business. Together, we took a bold step: purchasing three semi-trucks and starting from scratch.

We started with just 12 tows every three days, but through word-of-mouth referrals and a focus on exceptional service, we’ve expanded our operations significantly. The truck was there in under the 20 minute promised time, got my truck hooked up super fast and easy, got it to the tire shop before they closed and even made sure they had a tire on hand to replace the flat one before dropping the car off. Easy ordering on the phone, helpful and honest service with good pricing. You can tell these guys are pros at their jobs. Thank you for saving us on this very very cold day!
